BENIN: POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC SURVEY
President Patrice Talon’s tenure in Benin has been a complex interplay of ambitious neoliberal economic reforms and contentious political changes. While his administration may have made strides in modernising the country’s infrastructure and business environment, it has also faced significant criticism for undermining democratic processes and suppressing dissent opinions which have raised concerns about the state of democracy and civil liberties in the country.
